just a hug makes all the difference

my husband did the sweetest thing that i have to blog about it. he is in a wedding party this weekend, which as weddings go these days, it takes a lot of time and energy. if you are in the party, you have the bachelor party, then the all day get-together whatevers that the groom and bride plan, then the rehearsal dinner, then the wedding, and that combined can pretty much take up 3 days of your life. it's cool, but i have been home with the kids for 2 nights, goin' it alone. i was feelin' sad when he had to leave and drive 2 hours away for the groom's lunch, preceding the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, it doesn't help that this place is two hours away, mind you. So, i was sitting on the couch as he was leaving, and i was fightin' the blues hard. so i hear the door shut, we say goodbye, and i'm like, "okay self, just get to work, and you'll be leaving to go to the rehearsal dinner before you know it."
just then, (play the violen music in your head), the door opens back up, and in walks hubby. he rushes over, plops down and the couch and says, "i have 15 extra minutes and i just want to hold you. wow, floods of love rush over me as i snuggle up and we get mushy. (puke if you like) anyway, it is just amazing what that did for me. we said goodbye, and now i am inspired to keep stripping wall paper, reading baby books to the kids, organizing toys, and running erronds-- that is until tonight when i dress up and sit down to a nice, expensive, paid-for rehearsal dinner. ahhhhh.....
the point is--hugs can really be amazing. try them all the time on your spouse.

I never get tired of hearing "I love you" either! I don't think you can overuse it, as long as you mean it. My husband and I say it lots too.

Operamom...I tried the Minute Maid Lite...delicious! Thanks for the suggestion! :)
